What is a VIN?
Every vehicle made today is manufactured with a specific VIN, or Vehicle Identification Number. Each VIN is a 17-digit number that contains important identifying and safety information about your car. First you have to find your VIN. The VIN number is etched into the front of the engine block, the drivers side interior dash, firewall, or a decal along your B-Pillar, door jamb, or on your door.
